Merry Christmas, Members!
I understand that I missed a very successful “Nikolotanz”. I love the Swingmasters, but was too sick to attend.
The Children’s Christmas Party was a real hit. The clown-magician kept the little ones entertained the entire time, and I hope we have the same person back next year. Arno Risse, who was Santa Claus, told me what a joy it was to see the anticipation on the children’s faces. The hugs he received were great as well. Anyone interested in being Santa next year?
There are still some members who have not yet paid their dues for 2007. Please call Käthe Pfeffer at 905-389-1070 to make arrangements to pay and keep your membership in good standing.
The club is still in urgent need of a cook. This is a paid position. If you are interested, or know of anyone who might be, please call Arno Risse at 905-528-5245 to discuss the details.
The Ladies’ Auxiliary will meet again on January 3rd 2007 at 1:00 p.m. They especially wish everyone a beautiful holiday season and a New Year filled with peace and happiness. If you would like to join this worthwhile group, please call Helga Schopf at 905-664-6254.
The Fishers and Hunters will have their first meeting of the New Year on January 5th at 7:00 p.m. This would be a good opportunity to join the group and plan to participate in some outdoor fun.
December 15th, the last Friday the Hubertuskeller will be open this year, you can enjoy a Fish Dinner at 5:00 p.m. You will need to make reservations for this occasion. Please call Sarina Hablitschek at 905-632-2983 or sign up on the bulletin board notice on the Hubertuskeller door.
John Cekr has prepared just the right movie entertainment for those winter Sunday afternoons. Have a look at the enclosed flyer for the treats in store for you. If that isn’t enough, there is also coffee and cake available.
There are still a few tickets left for New Year’s Eve. Better hurry and call Anneliese Höpp now at 905-634-8918 to snap up the last ones. Don’t forget to attend the Christmas Concert to be held at the Club on December 17th starting at 1:45 p.m. The Christmas music is sure to put you into the holiday mood and remind us all what Christmas is really about.
