Greetings, Members!
Wasn’t the Mothers’ Day Dance wonderful? I am so pleased that I got one of the beautiful orchids. Mike Schuster thinks it’s because he sold us the Tombola Tickets. I must say that we did sell more tickets than usual, so we may ask the men to sell them again real soon.
At the Gründungsfest the Alpine Dancers of Kitchener will entertain us with their folk dancing. The 25, 30, 35 and 40-year members will also be receiving their Membership Certificate and should make a special effort to attend:

The “Hansi Kiesler Show” on May 2nd was a smash. The Committee is making every effort to bring performances of this nature again for us to enjoy. Thanks to all who helped to make this group welcome and provided accommodations. I was told that they enjoyed themselves better with our members than with any other group on their North American Tour. Well done! We have what it takes!
The Ladies’ Auxiliary would like to thank everyone for their support at the Coffee and Cake Table at the Good Friday Fish Dinner. A special thanks to Käthe Pfeffer and Leo Waldhuber for their donation. Be sure to attend the Strawberry Fest on June 24th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The ladies will serve freshly baked waffles with strawberries and real whipped cream, and will have interesting items for sale at the White Elephant Table. If you wish to donate any items for this purpose, please bring them to the club on Fridays or give them to any of the Ladies of the Auxiliary. Please call Helga Schopf at 905-664-6254 should you have any questions or would like to join.
A reminder that we are still looking for a cook, even if it is only part time or occasionally. If you are interested, or know of anyone interested in this position, please call our president, Arno Risse, at 905-528-5245.
We are also in need of a coat-check person for dances and banquets, a paid position. Anneliese Höpp or Hermann Krottenthaler will gladly give further details at 905-634-8918.

Nov. 21st, Matinee..Irving Berlin’s White Christmas at the Hummingbird Centre, $50.00 per person. Dec 15th, 8 p.m. show..Andre Rieu from Vienna at the Rogers Centre, prices $124.50, $99.50 or $84.50 per person. Reserve quickly, high demand.
